Serviços de emergência

Rapidam and Rapitank can have several key uses in dealing with flood and fire emergencies whilst the Concrete Cloth Shelter has many uses in disaster zones.

Communications are a must when infrastructure may have been damaged or the public network is congested. Our Rapid Deployment unit could be the answer you are looking for.

Maybe it is just a spill that needs containing. The SpilStop is ideal for dealing with small and large incidents and folds flat enough to store easily into any fire tender.

Rapidam

A Free Standing Rapidam barrier of 0.5m height would make an excellent replacement for sandbags in dealing with flooding. A length of Rapidam of 0.5m x 13m will rollup to a 0.9m diameter and can be easily lifted by one person.
This could be stored in a fire tender and deployed instantly to divert flash floods away from houses or main roads and as an aid to pumping out basements.

The leading edge of the Rapidam apron can be secured with acharged hoseand secured using the velcro strips provided. Alternatively it can be fixed to suitable street furniture using the D-rings on the Rapidam.

Rapitank

Rapitanks can be made in any size from 225 litres upwards. The largest single-piece Rapitank with integral groundsheet would hold 56,700 litres.

Small Rapitanks could be stored in fire tenders and be used to cool down dangerous chemical containers or oxyacetylene tanks.

Following the huge fire at Buncefield in recent years the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has stipulated that all such establishments must make arrangements to collect any fire-water run off and prevent it from entering any undergound water courses or aquifers. Rapidam can act as an excellent secondary or tertiary containment bund in these circumstances. Indeed it can even be used as a primary collection tank at the scene of any fire to collect this polluted water.

Rapitank is made from a 650g PVC coated linen fabric and has anti-UV and fungicide additives included at manufacture. Additional additives can be included to cater for other anticipated chemicals that may damage the fabric.

Emergency Shelters

Ideal for emergency accomodation in any disaster area or situation. Shelters can be erected on site by 2 persons in 2 hours and after hydrating and setting the unit will be fully functional in 24 horas.

The shelters can be used as a field HQ, a field hospital, an office, sleeping accomodation and secure storage.

They have a sealed inner to create a sterile environment, a high thermal performance, they are water and fire proof and they can be expected to have a life in excess of 10 anos

Decontamination Units

As a decontamination unit for personnel Rapitank can be used to hold the water from field shower units to avoid runoff.

Larger tanks can have one side laid flat to allow vehicles to be driven inside them. Once all four walls are erected it is a simple matter to hose down the contaminated vehicle and retain the run-off.

Sandbag Replacement

A Rapidam Free Standing unit of any length is so much more effective than a whole pile of sandbags.

Easy to put into place, effective in its operation and once the flood is over it can be simply washed down, dried and put away until next time. No environmental issues in disposals and waste management.

Dependent on use a Rapidam barrier will have a 20 year life span.

Its not going to work is it? Compare this to the picture of the Rapidam at the top of this page.
