Revetment offers the widest range of residential and commercial flood barriers in the market from our various partners.
These range from clip-on door, window and air brick covers through to automatic airbricks.
FLOOD BARRIERS
The barriers can be temporary and demountable (T&D) which require a small storage space or in-situ and raised from the ground or lowered into position.
Air Bricks
Air brick covers for single, double, treble, circular & bespoke air bricks & vents
Automatic air bricks for single sized air bricks. Multiple units can be installed to build up to doubles and trebles.
Door & Window Flood Barriers
There is a wide choice of BSi PAS1188 Kitemarked products available but we think the best with the largest amount of installations in the UK is Floodguards.
Heavy Duty Doors
If the property you are protecting is structurally sound then it is possible to defend it to the full height of the door. This applies very much in underground situations such as car park entrances.
Gates
Swing-hinge and lift-hinge gates are available for different applications from protecting the entrance to a home or electrical plant to providing access through sea walls. As these are usually built into reinforced walls and are away from eth property than can be higher than 900mm.
Modular Slot-in Panels
Similar to door barriers but we recommend these where the entrance aperture is greater than 2,765mm. These units can be custom made to span any entrance size and as each panel is only 20cm high they are lightweight and offer the ability to protect to any height.
Temporary & Demountable (T&D)
Rapidam is the fastest to deploy temporary & demountable solution in the market today. A 100m section can be deployed by 4 people in about 40 minutes.
It is stored and deployed from the Rapidam Handling Unit (RHU) which can be stored in a nearby lock-up garage and towed on the open road behind any suitable vehicle.
Similar to the modular slot-in panels these demountables are usually installed away from the property and can be installed at heights up to 2m and in limitless lengths.
Permanent
Some may say these glass flood barriers are attractive as well as functional. They can supplement glass frontages on office and retail buildings whilst also, maybe offering additional outdoor space and functionality. In this case a simple glass gate could be installed to give easy pedestrian access to the cordoned off area. The glass barrier can be supplied in single panels too and can make a useful additional feature in sea and river defences where maintaining the view is an important factor.
In-situ
These two pictures show an in-situ flood barriers in the closed and raised positions respectively. When closed the cover can be disguised to blend into the pavement or promenade using paving slabs, wood or any other suitable material of your choice. The units can be raised manually, at the touch of a button or automatically by the impending flood waters.
