The pictures in this page illustrate a number of solutions to address the high street or out-of-town retailer as well as their distribution outlets. High streets are particularly difficult to address from flooding as the shops rarely have enough curtilage to provide a substantial flood barrier and in older properties the shop fronts may not be able to withstand very high water levels; maybe only up to 650mm.

Many are often in Grade I & Grade II areas as well and any flood protection treatment has to be treated sympathetically and in conjunction with the local conservation officer. We have a number of solutions that fit these listing requirements and we are also working towards our own more sophisticated solutions to this complex issue.
